CODE OF CONDUCT

Our priority is to provide players with a positive and exciting experience. We ask our community to become partners with us in creating a welcoming environment where everyone can participate.

PLAY AS AN INDIVIDUAL, WIN AS A TEAM

Once you join a match, you’re part of a team working toward a shared goal: victory. Success requires teamwork, adaptability, and communication.

What to do:

  • Stay committed: Don’t quit a match—even if things look bleak. Every match is a learning opportunity!

  • Communicate effectively: Use in-game tools like VGS to coordinate strategies.

  • Be flexible: Adapt your strategies to work with your team’s approach. A good plan executed together beats a perfect plan done solo.

  • Lead with respect: If you take on a leadership role, listen to and support your teammates. Offer suggestions rather than giving orders.
     

What to avoid:

  • Intentionally assisting the enemy team through your actions or inaction (griefing).

  • Repeatedly going AFK (away from keyboard) during a match.

RESPECT THE COMMUNITY

Our community is made up of players from diverse backgrounds. It’s simple: treat everyone with respect.

Hi-Rez Ventures does not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or any other harmful conduct.
 

Unacceptable Behavior:

  • Examples of prohibited behavior include:

  • Harassing or bullying other players

  • Disparaging someone based on race, religion, gender, nationality, disability, or age

  • Excessive profanity, spamming, or advertising

FAIR PLAY FOR ALL

Everyone deserves an equal chance to enjoy the game, regardless of skill level. Fair play is at the heart of every match.

We will not tolerate any form of hacking or cheating and aggressively prevent it through various technical means.
 

Prohibited Actions:

  • Using third-party software to gain an unfair advantage

  • Modifying game files or using unauthorized mods

  • Automating gameplay with bots.

  • Intentionally losing matches or sabotaging teammates.

  • Exploiting bugs or glitches for personal gain

PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS

Protect yourself and other members of the community by securing your personal information, account, and devices.
 

  • Your account should only be utilized by you. Please don’t share it with others.

  • Don’t give anyone your password (We won’t ask for it either!)

  • Don’t share any personal information about yourself or people you know to anyone you aren’t familiar with.

  • Don’t impersonate other players or employees)

CONSEQUENCES FOR VIOLATING THE CODE OF CONDUCT (SUSPENSIONS & BANS)

We monitor and address violations to maintain a fun and respectful community. Disciplinary actions may include suspensions or bans, depending on the nature and frequency of the offense.
 

Example Suspension Timeline:

  • 1st offense: 7-day suspension.

  • 2nd offense: 14-day suspension.

  • 3rd offense: Permanent game ban.
     

These measures are guidelines. Hi-Rez Ventures reserves the right to take action based on the severity of the violation.

All bans are reviewed by a human and verified using system logs and detection tools. 

  • Of course! If your SMITE 1 account is banned, however, your Divine Legacy rewards may be affected in Smite 2.

  • Certain permanent bans may be eligible for appeal. Read more about appealing an account ban here.
